Credit card icons are an essential part of every online-shop. They are often used to indicate available payment conditions and purchasing options. The clearer they are presented in the online-shop, the easier it is for potential customers to figure out if they actually can pay online in this shop. Therefore when it comes to the design of an online-shop there is no way to get around using some credit card icons.
About 6 months ago I got a phone call from my credit union, where I do all of my financial business including my credit cards, telling me that they received notification that an internet vendor that I had done business with a couple of months previous was hacked and visa/”>credit card numbers were stolen. They then told me that my account had not yet been affected but to be safe they had canceled my account and issued me a new credit card with a new account number. I was disappointed to find out that I still owed my balance on my credit card but I was amazed at the level of security my credit union offers me.
Credit card security is a serious business and I found out that day how good my credit card provider is at keeping my account secure. I don’t worry anymore about my credit card account but I also still use my card wisely. Never give your credit card info to a website that seems in any way shady or suspicious and always try to avoid sending your credit card information through the regular mail. Try and use secure sites when you use your credit card online or call the vendor and use your card over the phone. You should also call your credit card provider and find out what their security plan is for your account. If you are not satisfied with their security procedures then cancel your account and get a card with a company you feel secure with. After all, not everyone can be a member of my credit union.
Tens of millions of Americans suffer from credit card debt. And as you can imagine, many are worse off than others. What group do you fit into? There are some who do not have any credit card debt, some that have a little, and some that have too much to handle. Hopefully, you do not have any credit card debt and your finances are in good standing. But of course, this is not the case for everybody.
You will know when your credit card debt is bad. Unfortunately, most people never find this out until they are in too deep. Instead of letting this happen to you, why not vow to keep your credit card debt at a level you can easily handle?
Do you pay the minimum on your credit cards each month? If so, there is a good chance that you are in too deep. Simply put, if you can afford to pay more than the minimum you need to do so. Remember, interest begins to pile up month after month; this is especially true if you have a high rate attached to your card
In my experience Visa is the most widely accepted credit card on the planet. I am not even going to look at any numbers or marketing data, I am talking about real life situations where I have walked into a store and they either only take Visa or Visa is one of the cards they take along with a group of others. In all honesty a Visa card is the only kind of credit card I have ever had, if you don’t count store credit cards and even those are sometimes administered by Visa, and I have had a lot of credit cards in my day. But I find that having the most widely accepted credit card in the world is a lot more valuable than not having it. Plus I get it through my credit union at a single digit interest rate so it is a great deal too.
I cannot think of a marketing line that is more appropriate that the Visa line that says “Life Takes Visa.” In my years of experience, my miles of travel, my dozens of vacations, my Visa card has been accepted everywhere I have gone and I have never had a problem using it. I guess it just goes to show that sometimes, if an ad agency really looks at what they are writing about, the commercials can sometimes just write themselves.
Most things in this world can be bought with money, but there are those specific things or moments in life that cannot be bought. MasterCard has been doing a great job representing this with their “Priceless” commercials. The commercials have been so successful that people just don’t stop at putting the commercials online, they create their own MasterCard commercials
